What is a Buyer's Agent?
A Buyer’s Agent works solely on behalf of the buyer to meet his/her real estate goals. The Buyer’s Agent represents the buyer exclusively, advocating and negotiating to get the best possible results for the buyer.
We firmly believe that a prospective buyer needs a qualified guide to assist in the process of identifying the appropriate property to serve the customer’s needs and desires. It is also of primary importance that the Broker provide the buyer with the necessary tools and to assist in conducting a thorough “due diligence” such that one does not end up with unanticipated problems after closing.
The Durango area offers very diverse options as regards property environments… from non-irrigated dry land Piñon and Sage to more lush high mountain Pine and Aspen acreages …from irrigated ranch land to suburban subdivisions…from in-town single family homes to resort area homes and condominiums. All these property types have their idiosyncrasies that need to be understood in the buying process. Without the right guide even just identifying prospective properties would pose quite a task especially when attempting to obtain suitable property information on one’s own from afar. Once a property is identified each property type and area of the County has issues that need to be identified, understood and addressed in the contracting and due diligence phases. We have been doing this here for quite some time, for over 35 years as a matter of fact. We know our backyard very well and with these years of experience in the business we are well qualified to guide in all aspects of this process.
